1 samuel 17: 38-40
The Very Things that would help Saul in battle would only hinder David.
Be yourself....................... The Father has made us each unique and will use different measures and different paths to bring us into the you he wants us to be.
Stay on your path and use the tools and gifts God designed for you.

The Life of A candle
A light on a candlestick consumes itself to give light to all who are in the house. It serves the intimate unity of all the household because its life consist in dying. If one wanted to spare the candle , one would prevent it from turning into light. But to cover up a precious burning candle would be sinful. Rob a burning candle of the free air in which the flame radiates , and it goes out: it ceases to be light.
Light is the characteristic of the people of Jesus- a real brightness and warmth. As the old life is consumed it turns into life giving strength. Shameful things can live only in the dark. Brightness leads to clarity and frankness, to simplicity and purity , to genuineness and truth. Where Jesus life and influence makes men into real men , their life becomes genuine and pure. It shines into the darkness of the world around and unmask all that is spurious and untrue , all that tries to hide.

John 12:24 "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels--a plentiful harvest of new lives
John 1:4 In him was life and the life was the light of men

Incarnation..... Reflections from TF Torrance
The Incarnation means that God has loved us to the utter most.
The whole work of reconciliation depends upon the fact that one Person acts both from the side of God and from the side of man.
Jesus is our worship, the essence of it and the whole of it.
In Jesus Christ God has already made a decision on your behalf, that we are to be His children.
In Christ the life of human being is wedded to eternal life.
I was born again when Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary and rose again from the virgin tomb, the first-born from the dead.

"Over the years, I have come to realize that the greatest trap in our life is not success, popularity, or power, but self-rejection. Success, popularity, and power can indeed present a great temptation, but their seductive quality often comes from the way they are part of the much larger temptation to self-rejection. When we have come to believe in the voices that call us worthless and unlovable, then success, popularity, and power are easily perceived as attractive solutions. The real trap, however, is self-rejection. As soon as someone accuses me or criticizes me, as soon as I am rejected, left alone, or abandoned, I find myself thinking, "Well, that proves once again that I am a nobody." ... [My dark side says,] I am no good... I deserve to be pushed aside, forgotten, rejected, and abandoned. Self-rejection is the greatest enemy of the spiritual life because it contradicts the sacred voice that calls us the "Beloved." Being the Beloved constitutes the core truth of our existence."

Eternal life.
We do not know God by defining him , but by being loved by him. And loving him in return.
Another does not know me nor do I know another by , defining or explaining , by categorizing or by psychologizing but only relationally by accepting and loving and by giving and receiving.

Jesus say's in John 17:3 And this is eternal life that you would know the Father and his Son Jesus Christ whom he sent.
To know something in a biblical view , is to have an interactive relationship with it. To relate to someone or something for who or what it really is.
Knowing Jesus as Lord is not simply knowing Christ is Lord , but rather to relate to him personally as Lord and Savior. Then to interact with Jesus on this basis through your daily life and activities. This stretches beyond a mere mental assent as the defining factor of our knowing, to an interactive life of faith and love.
1 John 4:19 We Love him because he first loved us.
